Schedule TikTok videos and photo posts with their caption, audience and comment, Duet and Stitch settings. PostQueen posts them through TikTok’s official API, or sends them to your TikTok inbox to finish in the app.

What you can post

Text

Captions up to 2,000 characters. A photo post can also have a title of up to 90 characters.

Media

One MP4 video, or 1 to 35 photos, never both. PNG, WebP and GIF photos are converted to JPEG. AVIF, BMP and TIFF are refused.

Post types

Video post and photo post, published directly or sent to your TikTok inbox.

Analytics

7 or 30 days: followers, following, total likes and video count, views, likes, comments and shares on your latest 20 videos, plus views, likes, comments and shares for each post.
Not supported: text-only posts, a video and photos in one post, follow-up comments, Stories, and picking a specific sound or a location tag.

Checked before scheduling

PostQueen refuses a post that breaks these rules and shows the message in the composer: Video length is TikTok’s rule, and it depends on the account. When you post directly, the composer reads the longest video your account may post and warns when yours is longer (“This video is 95 seconds long and this TikTok account can post videos of up to 60 seconds. TikTok will refuse it, so trim it or choose a shorter video.”). It does not stop you from scheduling. File size and video resolution are not checked first: TikTok takes photos up to 20 MB and videos at least 360 px on both sides.

Connect TikTok

Any TikTok account can connect. You don’t need a business account. Add Channel also lists TikTok Business, but that tile cannot be connected yet: use TikTok.
TikTok is in review. Until TikTok audits PostQueen’s app, at most 5 people can post through it in 24 hours, and every post is published as Self only.

Open Add Channel

Open Channels and choose Add Channel, then TikTok.

Sign in to TikTok

Sign in with the TikTok account you want to post to, and approve every permission you are asked for. PostQueen needs all of them.

Check that it connected

The channel appears in the Channels list with its avatar and name.

Post settings

Each TikTok post in the composer has these settings. The audience and the three switches are read from your TikTok account each time, so settings you turned off in TikTok stay off here, marked “Turned off on your TikTok account, so it cannot be set here”.
  • Content posting method: Post content directly to TikTok publishes the post. Upload content to TikTok without posting it sends it to your TikTok inbox, where you finish and publish it in the TikTok app within 24 hours. It starts on posting directly.
  • Who can see this video?: the audiences your account allows, from Public to everyone, Mutual follow friends, Follower of creator and Self only. Nothing is preselected.
  • Title: a photo post’s title. A video uses its caption instead.
  • Auto add music: let TikTok add recommended music to a photo post.
  • Video features: Allow Duet, Allow Stitch and Video made with AI, for videos only.
  • Allow Comments: on by default.
  • Disclose Video Content: mark the post as promotional, then choose Your brand (you promote yourself or your own brand) or Branded content (you promote another brand). Branded content can’t be private.
In Upload mode only the media, with a photo post’s title and caption, reaches TikTok. A video’s caption and every other setting stay behind, so you set them in the TikTok app. The field names and values for the API are on TikTok posting settings.

Comments and threads

TikTok takes no follow-up comments or threads, so the composer offers no follow-up parts for a TikTok post.

Good to know

  • TikTok does not allow branded content to be private, so a post marked Branded content cannot be published until TikTok’s audit of PostQueen’s app passes.
  • When TikTok’s limit of people posting through PostQueen’s app is reached, TikTok disconnects the channel. It shows Needs reconnecting: choose Reconnect channel in its menu later.
  • TikTok processes a video after the upload, so a post can take a few minutes to appear on your profile.
  • TikTok itself limits how often you post: around 15 direct posts a day per account, shared with every app that posts to it, and at most 5 uploads waiting in your inbox in any 24 hours.
  • Photos are converted to JPEG when the post is published, not when you schedule it.
  • The connection renews itself.
  • During the free trial, a TikTok account that another PostQueen workspace already connected is refused until you end the trial.

Troubleshooting

Until TikTok’s audit of PostQueen’s app passes, only Self only publishes. Set Who can see this video? to Self only and schedule the post again.
TikTok’s limit of 5 people posting through PostQueen’s app in 24 hours was reached, and TikTok disconnected the channel. Reconnect it later.
Five uploads are already waiting in your TikTok inbox. Publish or delete them in the TikTok app, then try again after 24 hours.
TikTok’s own daily limit for the account was reached. Move the post to tomorrow.
PostQueen could not read your account’s audiences, so it cannot offer them. Choose Try again. If it keeps failing, reconnect the channel.
A permission was switched off on TikTok’s screen. Connect the channel again and approve every permission.
