Checked before scheduling
PostQueen refuses a post that breaks these rules and shows the message in the composer:
Video length and size are Bluesky’s rules, and PostQueen does not check them first. Bluesky takes an MP4 of up to 300 MB and 10 minutes, and 25 videos or 10 GB a day from an account with a verified email address.
Connect Bluesky
You need an app password: a separate password for tools, which you can revoke without changing your own. It works even when two-factor authentication is on.1
Create an app password on Bluesky
In Bluesky, open Settings, then Privacy and security, then App passwords (bsky.app/settings/app-passwords). Choose Add App Password and name it
PostQueen. Leave Allow access to your direct messages off: PostQueen does not need it. Copy the password now, because Bluesky shows it only once.2
Open Add Channel
In PostQueen, open Channels and choose Add Channel, then Bluesky and Enter details.

Enter your handle and the app password
Leave Service as
https://bsky.social unless your account lives on another Bluesky server. Type your handle, for example name.bsky.social, in Identifier, paste the app password in Password, and choose Connect.4
Check that it connected
The channel appears in the Channels list with your Bluesky avatar and name.
Post settings
Bluesky has no post settings. Text, media and timing are set on the post itself, and the API takes"__type": "bluesky" and nothing else, as Bluesky posting settings shows.
Comments and threads
Continue thread adds parts to the post. Each part is posted as a reply under the part before, can carry its own images or video, and has its own delay. Every part is held to the same limits as the first post. Add a thread finisher adds a closing post, such as a thank-you or a follow link, after the other parts. When you save, it becomes the thread’s last part, which you can then edit like the others. In the channel’s Automations on the Channels page (how automations work), Auto Repost Posts reposts a post, and Auto plug post replies to it with a post you write in advance, once it has reached a number of likes you set. Each checks the post every 6 hours, up to 3 times.Good to know
- Use an app password, not your account password.
- PostQueen signs in to Bluesky each time it posts, adds a reply, runs an automation or searches for an account to mention. Bluesky allows 30 sign-ins in 5 minutes and 300 a day per account, so a very busy account can reach that limit.
- If you revoke the app password on Bluesky, the channel shows Needs reconnecting. Create a new app password and enter it with Update Credentials under Access on the channel’s page. A short Bluesky outage does not disconnect the channel; the post fails and can be scheduled again.
- Service must be a public
httpsaddress. - Invite by link does not offer Bluesky, because the app password is typed into PostQueen. Connect it with Connect myself.
- During the free trial, a Bluesky account that another PostQueen workspace already connected is refused until you end the trial.

Bluesky could not process the video. Check that it is an MP4 within Bluesky’s size and length limits, then schedule the post again.

The post was interrupted after it was sent, so PostQueen cannot tell whether Bluesky published it, and it stops rather than post twice. Look at your Bluesky profile before you schedule it again.
