Where: an AI agent connected to PostQueen over MCP, or the public API. The app has no clipping screen. Clipping takes a long YouTube video, picks the moments that stand on their own, and turns each one into a short vertical clip with captions. The clips land in Media, and as drafts on the channels you choose.

Ask your agent to clip a YouTube video, and paste its link.

Choose blur or crop

The agent asks how the horizontal video should fill the vertical clip, and waits for your answer. See Blur or crop.

Name channels and a number, if you want

Name the channels that should get a draft of each clip, and how many clips you want, from 1 to 10. Without a number you get up to 5.

Wait for the clips

Clipping takes several minutes. In apps that can show MCP panels, a Video Clipping panel shows each step and each clip as it is ready, with Open and Copy link. Elsewhere, ask the agent how it is going.
With the API, send the same choices to Start a clipping, then read Get a clipping until it is completed or failed.

What you get

  • Clips: vertical MP4 videos, 1080 × 1920. Each is one moment of the video that opens with a hook, makes one complete point and runs up to 90 seconds. Clips never overlap, and you can get fewer than you asked for.
  • Captions burned into the picture, timed to each spoken word.
  • A title and a post text for each clip, written by AI in the language of the video, without hashtags. Read them before you post.
  • Files in Media, each with a thumbnail from its first frame and the clip’s title as alt text.
  • Drafts, if you named channels: one for each clip on each channel, with the post text and the clip attached. Each clip’s drafts take the next free time from your posting times. Nothing is scheduled or published. Find them under Drafts in the calendar, add any settings the network needs, and schedule them.

Clipping minutes

  • A clipping uses one minute for each started minute of the source video, however many clips it makes.
  • The minutes are taken as soon as PostQueen knows how long the video is, before any clip is made. The whole video has to fit in the minutes you have left.
  • If no clip is made, the minutes are given back.
  • Minutes reset every month, counted from the day your subscription started.
  • Clipping is not part of the free trial.
  • The minutes each plan includes, and the other limits, will be listed on Plans and limits when clipping opens.
