What YouTube turns away:
  • You need one media, and Item must be a video. No text posts, no image posts, no second attachment.
  • Tags share a budget: The maximum allowed is 500 characters in total. A tag containing a space costs two extra characters, because YouTube wraps it in quotes.
  • Thumbnails have to be JPEG or PNG, and an unverified channel cannot set one at all. The video still uploads, the thumbnail is what gets dropped.
