Before you start
- Plans: Pro, Max, Education Pro, Enterprise Pro and Enterprise Max; not Free. Computer tasks use credits: Max gets a monthly allowance, Pro a one-time bonus. On Enterprise, members add their own custom connectors only if an admin allows it.
- Platforms: add the connector in Perplexity on the web. Computer runs on the web, in the iOS and Android apps, in the Comet browser, and from Slack, Teams and email.
- A PostQueen API key. A workspace admin copies it from Connections.
Where the API key is: in the app, open Connections > API Keys. Only a workspace Admin or Super Admin can reveal or rotate it; other members see it masked. A workspace has one key, and each agent card on Connections shows your MCP address with the key already filled in.

Open Connectors
In Perplexity on the web, open Account settings, then Connectors. Click + Custom connector and choose Remote.

Fill in the connector
Name it
PostQueen and fill in the fields as below, with your key in the address:3
Add and enable it
Tick the acknowledgement box and click Add, then click the PostQueen card to enable it.

Turn it on in Computer
In Computer, check that PostQueen is on under Connectors.
On Enterprise, an admin first turns on Allow members to add custom connectors under Enterprise settings, then Permissions, or adds PostQueen for the whole organization there.
Check that it works
Start a Computer task: “List my PostQueen channels.” Computer answers with the channels you connected in PostQueen. If it does not use PostQueen, check that the connector is enabled under Account settings > Connectors and on under Connectors in Computer.Good to know
- Keep Authentication on None. The key is already in the address, and Perplexity’s API Key option does not say which header it sends.
- Add it under Connectors, not under Settings > MCP servers. That setting is for servers on your own device, which cloud Computer tasks do not use.
- Use the connector, not the PostQueen CLI. Computer keeps saved keys in its Credential vault and never passes them into its sandbox.
- The address carries your API key. Keep it private. If it leaks, a workspace admin rotates the key under Connections > API Keys, and you update the connector.
- Do not see + Custom connector? Look for Add a custom connection: Perplexity’s own pages use both names.
- Ask for drafts when you want to check first. A draft waits on your PostQueen calendar, and nothing publishes until you schedule it.
- What it cannot do over MCP: delete a post, or change a post’s text or time. Do that on the calendar in the app. The MCP tools lists what it can do.
