VK posting settings

Every post to VK carries a settings object with "__type": "vk", and nothing else: VK has no settings of its own. Posts go to the connected account’s own wall. Read the live schema for your channel with Get a channel’s settings.

Fields

Photos in image are uploaded to VK and attached to the wall post. Video is not supported yet: attach photos only.

What PostQueen checks

A post that breaks this rule is refused with 400 before it is scheduled:

The error body names the channel and the rule:

VK’s own rules are not checked first: up to 10 attachments on a post, and photos in JPG, PNG or GIF of up to 50 MB. VK reports some errors inside a normal-looking answer, so a post VK refused can show as published with a link that leads nowhere.

Examples

Send each body to create a post. Replace YOUR_CHANNEL_ID with the channel’s id from list channels, and each media id and path with the values upload a file returns.

In the second example, the second entry in value is a comment under the wall post, posted 30 minutes after it. Comments on VK can carry photos.
